Teacher's Gift

Good Evening.  Welcome back to KMC.  Tuesday will be my kids (son and daughter) last day of school then they will be on summer break until August.  Therefore, I made a pearl bracelet to thank my kids' teachers for all their helps especially my daughter's teacher.  My daughter (who is a special need child) make so many progress since she started pre-school.  I can't thanks the teacher, Chris, enough.  Making the bracelet is the least I can do.  I have to thanks my son's teacher, Laura, who has been so patient with me.  Thank you all!

Since I made the bracelets, I need to make a container to put the bracelets in.  I made a purse box to storage the bracelet.  I use the same paper as treat bags so it will match.  The purse box is similar to the one that I made before.  I hope you will like it.

KMC's Recipe:
- Size:  Cut in 6"
- Cricut Cartridge:  Forever Young, Paisley
- Card Stock:  American Crafts, Recollection (Light Green)
- Dies: Sizzix Dies
- Embellishment: Darice Big Bling (Clear Rhinestone), Recollection Due Drop (Clear)

Gift Box

Hi All!  If you follow my previous post, I made a matching necklace and bracelet for my daughter's physical therapist to thanks her for all the work she had done for my daughter for the past two and half years.  Tomorrow is the my daughter's last day with her.  Since I made the necklace and bracelet, I need something to put the necklace and bracelet in.  I decided to made a gift bag/gift box.  It is very simple but I think it is pretty elegant that match the pearl necklace and bracelet.  Most important, it is a  great size.
Here is the gift box.......

Treat Bag for Egg Hunt

Welcome to KMC!  I was a little pooped out from driving (especially in bad weather) to make all my daughter's appointments (two different appointments (school evaluation and doctor's appt) in two different cities, Elk Grove and Roseville).  By the time I got home, I was pretty tired.  That is the reason why I did not make two projects as I have anticipated this morning.  This evening, I only have enough energy to make 1/2 of a project.  You read it right, 1/2 of a project.  I will finish the other 1/2 tomorrow or the following day if I have time because my daughter has another doctor's appointment.

Before you scroll down to the project itself.  Let me give you some of the background of this project.  If you read my previous blog, my daughter's 3rd birthday is coming soon.  Since it is about a month away, I'm trying to get all the stuff done before her birthday comes.  Every year, there will be games and activities in the party.  The main event of my daughter's birthday is Egg Hunt since it is about a week or two away from Easter.  The pass two years I have the guest to bring their own basket but this year, I will make treat bag for the children who will be participate in the egg hunt.  This is pretty big treat bag and I think it will be good to store or hold all the eggs that the children hunt.   You can see how big the treat bag is by compare to other bag I made for party favor.

Yes, it might be un-finish right now but it will be finish soon.  However, I not sure if I should decorate the treat bag in butterfly theme or Easter theme.  What do you think?  Please leave me a comment which option I should decorate the plain treat bag with.

By the way, my Gypsy has arrived when I got home this evening.  Yippee!!

Treat Bag for Fantabulous Cricut: Challenge #44-Neglected Cartridge

Good Evening Everyone!! Welcome to KMC.  Since I did not post anything yesterday, I'll have two posts for you.  This project is for "Fantabulous Cricut: Challenge #44-Neglected Cartridge".  In this challenge, you need to create a project with a Cricut cartridge that has been neglected for 6 or more months.  It is a little challenge for me because I am fairly new in the crafting work especially the Cricut's world.  I heard about Cricut from a friend at the end of 2009 but I did not own one until late April 2010 and I did not open the box until June of 2010.  Therefore, all my cartridge are 7.5 months or newer.  I did manage to find a cartridge that I have not use for 6 months.  This is the Hello Kitty Greeting Cricut cartridge.  With this cartridge, I decided to make a Hello Kitty Treat Bag.  I hope you will like it.

KMC's Recipe:
-  Size:  7"W x 8-1/2"H x 3"D
-  Cricut Cartridge:  Hello Kitty Greeting and Forever Young
-  Card Stock:  Target Posterboard (White), Recollection (Black, White, Red), and Core'dination (Pearl Gold)
-  Embellishment:  Michael's (Clear Rhinestone)
-  Glitter:  Joann Craft Essential-Fine (Red)

As you can tell this treat bag is pretty big.  This bag is cut in a 12"x24" posterboard.  The picture below is the comparison of how big the "Hello Kitty" bag is.  The small purse is cut in 3-3/4".  The actual size of the small purse is 3-1/8"W x 4-1/2"H x 1-1/2"D.  The "Hello Kitty" bag is perfect for little girl as Treat Bag.

Birthday Day Card for More Than Favors: Wacky Wednesday #23-Color Challenge & My Pink Stamper: Happy Birthday to Me Challenge

Good Morning everyone.  Thank you for dropping by.  This morning I made a birthday card for two challenges.  I know I'm double dip.  For "More Than Favors: Wacky Wednesday #23-Color Challenge", you need to use the colors of pink, green and brown in your projects.  Pink and green are also Robyn with My Pink Stamper favorite colors.  Therefore, I decided to use the same card to wish Robyn a happy birthday and also enter her challenge ("My Pink Stamper: Happy Birthday to Me Challenge").

When I made this card, I was thinking of my very good friend, Stacy.  Stacy is a very special friend.  I know her for a very long time. This card remind me of you, Stacy, forever young and fashionable.   Stacy, if you read my blog, I hope you will like this card.

KMC's Recipe:
-  Size:  4" x 8"
-  Cricut Cartridge:  Forever Young
-  Card Stock:  DCWV (Metalic Green) and Recollection (Brown)
-  Paper:  Making Memories (Pink)
-  Punch:  Martha Stewart-Double Edge
-  Embellishment:  Michaels ($1 bin-Pink and Green)

I know I used lots of bling.  I love bling.  What can I say!  If we can afford diamond, we can have BLING!  Blings are girl's best friend.  This is a card that either you love or you hate it.  I just LOVE it myself.  The bling makes it stand out.  I can use glitter but it is just not the same.  The bling adds different flavor to the cards.
