1st MPS Blog Hop Challenge

Hi Everyone!!  This is my first MPS (aka My Pink Stamper) Blog Hop challenge.  What is a MPS Blog Hop challenge?  Well, a MPS Blog Hop is a challenge that you post a project that you've created in the MPS blog.  There is a guideline that you have to follow.  To find out what the guideline of this challenge is, you have to check out the all blog of each MPS design team member (what a bunch of talented ladies).  At the end, you will find out the guideline of this Blog Hop challenge.  The guideline of this Blog Hop challenge is that you have to either use MPS Stamps set or the color has to be PINK (MPS favorite color).

Since Valentine is around the corner, I made two Valentine Cards using the color  "pink" (also one of my favorite color).  The inspiration of these cards comes from my family.  I hope you'll like it.

This card is inspired by my husband.  Inside, I stamp "True Love Stories Never Have Ending".  This is what I believe in our relation.  I know our "love story" will last forever and ever, "till death do us apart".  I know it sounds very GOOGOO GAGA but that's how I feel about my husband.  My friends and families may be surprised from what I said because I'm not a very affectionated person in public.  Hehehe.

KMC's Recipe:

VC #2

This card is inspired by my daughter.  I like to use butterfly in my cards for many reasons.  In many people eyes, butterfly is a beautiful creature but in my eyes, butterfly symbolize my daugher.  My daughter has special need and unique in her own little ways.  As of right now, many people might see her as a ugly, fizzy caterpillar.  However, I know in my heart my daughter will transform from a ugly caterpiller to a butterfly.  She will suprised us.  Inside, I stamp "For An Instant Love Can Transform The World".  I know my daughter will change how the world see her.  She will transform through metamorphorsis.  She will not just inspire me but I believe that she will also inspire many of you.

KMC's Recipe:

"Thank You" cards for the Troop in Iraq

Summer of 2010, my friend, Hong, asked me to help her make a serious of 12 "Thank You" cards. Her office is planning to send the handmade cards that I make to the troop in Iraq to thanks the troop for their service.

Not sure if Hong noticed or not, I was thrill, flatter, honor, and bit scare.  I feel very honor that Hong asked me for help and believe in me.  I was scared because I was afraid that I will fail her.  More over, it was the first time that I used my Cricut Machine to make cards.  Even though, my hubby bought me the Cricut Expression in Spring 2010 but I did not open it until early or mid-Summer 2010.  As I have mention before, I am not computer savvy.  In addition, I also electronic challenge.  I am so afraid to open the Cricut Machine box and break any button.  However, I manage to use the Cricut Machine without any hiccup (knock on wood).

Hong, I hope I did not fail you.

Below are the "Thank You" cards that I made for the troop in Iraq.  Please give me some comments.  I think it will help me to be a better craft.

That's enough blog for tonight.  More will be post for tomorrow.  Ta Ta for now!

Welcome to KMC

Welcome to Kelly's Memory Craft. This is my first blog EVER!

I have been thinking of starting my own blog for the last couple months with some pushes and suggestions from families and friends.   However, I'm not computer savvy, so "blogging" will be a challenge but I believe I can over come it.  In addition, I'm pretty new at scrapbooking and crafting.  My friend, Jennifer K.,  introduced me to scrapbooking and crafting by helping her working on her wedding "Thank You" card in 2004.  Later, I bought my very first stamp set and ink pad from Stamp'In Up in 2006 from my co-worker, Amy K.

Before, I do not know what Cuttlebug and Cricut machine are, until my friend, Michelle, tells me about it in 2009.  I can't really say that I was crafting until I bought my very first Cuttlebug during Christmas of 2009.  My crafting career (hehehe) really begin in 2010 when my lovely and thoughtful husband, Kevin, bought me my very first Cricut Expression machine for my birthday.  I have to say, it is the best gift he ever given me other than my two children.   THANK YOU Honey!!

My craft area in my living is nice but I hope I can have a craft room for myself someday.  So Santa, I hope you can bring me a craft room in the near future if you are reading my blog.  I promise I will be on your nice list for a very long time.

I have inspired by many many talented crafters like Robyn with "My Pink Stamper", Emma with "My Creative Time" and Lauren with Lauren's Creative.  However, my biggest inspiration comes from my family.

I don't have any project posting as this moment but I will try my best to post as much project as possible in the future.  I hope my projects can give you some inspirations as well.

Thank you for stopping by.

Kelly
